our wedded bliss.

Well. we are coming up on our 3 month mark of wedded bliss. its about time i create a married blog as yonkies would say. i have an african blog, fiji blog, mission blog...so its time for this phase of life i spose. A few updates since the big 12-20-12. December: finals. wedding week: jazz game. family in town. families meet at dinner at the powells home. awesome wedding day: we were sealed by Jared's grandpa in the Salt Lake City temple at 2:20pm. we then had an incredible wedding reception at wadley farms. honeymoon to san fran. so very fun. highlights include: delicious food. sourdough bread. Alcatrez. museums. ice skating in the city. cable car rides. ghiradelli. lombard street.golden gate bridge. watching good movies. best christmas ever. January: an awesome reception in chicago. URS did the food (yummm) and we had the reception at Kiera and Josh's house. (thanks!) we also got to spend time in the city with Jared's parents. highlights include: art museum, museum of science and industry, morton's steak house, sears tower, and deep dish giordano's pizza. yummmm. school started. lame. but it's my last semester! I was happy to register for an easy peezy 12 credits. (that didn't last long..) January 30th I got my first district of 6 week missionaries who were 18, 19, 20 years old. there were 14 of them and they were sooo much fun. February: Disneyland with the Powells. people say you don't appreciate free things. jared and i beg to differ. best vacation everrrrrrrrrrrr. for v-day we got zupas and went to see the new "Safe Haven" movie with our favorite couple, Maddy and Stu. it was such a good movie! i recommend it. Jared also got braces that day. PURPLE ones. I tell him it just makes me sooo happy to see him smile these days cause i just love those purple braces! (and him.) He then got 4 teeth pulled. (poor husband of mine.) But he is a champ and still smiling. (literally.) We also decided to go through a byu research program for Africa this summer. We get to be on the same team as Jared's cousin, Ryan and his wife, Sarah. Should be an awesome summer. March: school. school. school. no spring break. midterms. stress. my ideal 12 credits has now changed to 18.5 credits this semester as i start an internship and add a class for our uganda research. i am working 20 hours a week, school 18.5 credits a week, and an internship 10-15 hours a week. jared works 20 hours and is taking some intense econ classes. needless to say, we are busy. and we officially own our car and had to get a new title and register it...getting rid of it's illinois past. :( next is my driver's license.. I just don't want to give it up yet to Utah land... we are also new gospel principle teachers for church. we had two friends get married. Josh Nelson (tori long time college friend) to Kim. And Megan Dustin (mission friend) to Neil. Maddy also had her baby and she let me be in the room during the whole miraculous process. congrats maddy and stu on their new baby Ivorie Pearl. she is adorable. maddy is a champion. And my accomplishment for the month of march: homemade. from scratch. all of it. banana cream oreo pie. YUM. this is our happily ever after.
